50 Cent Bulletproof
Rapper 50 Cent’s videogame 50 Cent Bulletproof was released in 2005 as a response to the game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. 50 Cent Bulletproof came out for Playstation 2 and Xbox. In the videogame 50 Cent plays himself and his character is in search for vengeance on a hitman who tried to kill him. Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, and Young Buck are also featured in the game as a part of G-Unit. In the 50 Cent Bulletproof game the gang who shoots 50 Cent shoot him nine times which is ironically similar to his real life experience. Throughout the game 50 Cent’s character has access to various firearms and weapons and is able to learn up to 25 deadly reversal moves. 50 Cent Bulletproof is a third person shooter game which is similar to the Grand Theft Auto style games. The player is lead through the storyline by going through different missions. 50 Cent Bulletproof contains music and videos by the artist 50 Cent and players are enabled to create their own playlists. Rapper Eminem also makes a appearance in the game as the “shady” detective named McVivar. Dr. Dre plays a back alley firearms dealer named Grizz. DJ Whoo Kid plays himself as he tries to sell bootlegged G-Unit camp music out of a trunk.

In August of 2006 the G-Unit edition of 50 Bulletproof was released for the Playstation portable. The story and cutscenes of the game are the same but instead of the third person perspective it has a top-down viewpoint. The G-Unit edition also enables multiplayer gameplay. The soundtrack to 50 Cent Bulletproof is 50 Cent’s album Bulletproof. Bulletproof was released by DJ Red Heat’s Shadyville Entertainment. The soundtrack was also released as an instrumental version. If consumers preordered the Bulletproof album they also received never before seen DVD of 50 Cent’s European tour called “No Fear, No Mercy”. The soundtrack received an award for Best Original Song in 2005 at the Spike TV Video Game Awards.
